We have just had a brilliant first rehearsal for the hilarious musical BETTY BLUE EYES with music from George Stiles and Anthony Drewe (The Wind in the Willows, Mary Poppins, Half A Sixpence) and we already absolutely love this show. Based on Alan Bennett’s ‘A Private Function’ it is full of wit, love and some very apt commentary on austerity in post-war Britain!
If you would like to join us on stage or backstage for Betty Blue Eyes then we would love to have you! Come along on Tuesday 13 December at 7.45pm to the music block of Newstead Wood School, Avebury Road, Orpington to hear more about the show, sing some songs and learn about prinicpal role auditions!
There is no audition to be a chorus member of PWOS, and we would love everyone who wants to join us for Betty Blue Eyes to do so!
Auditions for principal roles will take place in January and you must be an annual member of PWOS (£25 or £12.50 for students) to audition.
Rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays and some Thursday evenings from 7.45 – 10pm
Betty Blue Eyes will be performed at The Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks from 11 – 13 May 2017

We all made the most of our long summer break, and enjoyed the few weeks of sunshine that the South East had to offer! We brushed up on our song lyrics, and tried to remember our harmonies so that on 1st September at 7:30pm, our first floor rehearsal could kick off with a bang!
We’ll be working hard for the next couple of months on Little Shop of Horrors, putting together a show full of amazing songs, fabulous dances and of course, theatreland’s most bloodthirsty plant! We’d love you to come along to the show, which will be performed at The Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks from 19th – 21st November 2015. Buy tickets HERE!
